What have we been doing all this time, I hear you ask, well for all those who are waiting in the wings for the next update ... here we are ...

Since the storms, I have been casual teaching in a few different schools. I managed to get work every day which was great and then I two weeks off for the school holidays (which was a bit of bad timing). But since returning, I have done a 3 week block in one school and have now started a block in one class till Christmas, covering a maternity leave which is superb. The school is called Narraweena Public School and I have a Year 3 class. They are a great class, lively and sparky. I have a boy with Aspergers which is a bit of a challenge, but he is a nice funny kid. So work is going well, I am in my 2nd week at Narraweena and so far so good. They are a really good staff and they have lots of socials, so that is cool. It is good to get a regular income in now.

Apart from teaching, we've both had bouts of flu and illnesses, but we are back now. We went up the coast to Hawks Nest again with a few friends and went on a boat cruise which was fun (although I had the flu and couldn't move much) and we also went to the Live Earth gig in Sydney which was ok. Our friends Chris and Bec have bought themselves two cute cats, so we have been playing with them and babysitting every now and again.

The weather is starting to heat up a bit now, we rode our bike down by the lake and had breakfast at a very nice cafe overlooking the lake. We love it where we live, it is so beautiful and walking distance to some pretty amazing spots. Married life is great as well and we are now trying to plan a nice holiday somewhere in the October school holidays. So all is great really.
I have been making the famous steak and Mushroom pie and adding my own special touch. We are both getting fat, but gonna do something about that before the Summer comes.

We are also looking forward to baby Scott no. 2 who should arrive at th end of March. (that's KArl and Louise's baby if any of you were getting confused).

Well, best be off. Hope that has updated you all!

A nice newsy blog. Good to see you're both doing so well and so happy. Did the steak/mushroom pie taste as good as it looks? Your Mum's concerned that it may be as good as hers! Is the other photo up by Hawks Nest?
